FemNorthNet Newsletter (Volume 5, Issue 1) This newsletter features a note about the tragic shooting that occurred in La Loche in early 2016 and FemNorthNet's ties to the community. There is also an announcement about FemNorthNet's latest releases:
our short film "The Dirt on Clean Energy", which uses creative, visual storytelling to explain the significance of the Lower Churchill hydroelectric development for reshaping the maritimes' electricity grid and Labradorian communities;
fact sheets detailing migration and mobility issues in the North; and,
a new report that gathers information about how indigenous artists, Elders, and local residents in Thompson, MB envision the creation of a new Aboriginal Arts Centre.
